<\/p>\nThe discovery of a loaded gun during a traffic stop next to Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga last month has led to multiple firearm and drug charges for four teens.<\/p>\n
Peel Regional Police said frontline officers seized the loaded weapon shortly after pulling over a vehicle on March 6 at around 7 p.m. near Mid-Way Boulevard and Dixie Road, at the western boundary of the airport.\u00a0<\/p>\n
During the traffic stop, officers spotted the occupants of the vehicle to be allegedly in violation of the Cannabis Control Act and Controlled Drug and Substance Act, police said in a news release on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
During the search of one of the car\u2019s occupants, a loaded illegal handgun and a magazine containing ammunition were located, according to police.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Facing possession of substance charges, possession of unauthorized firearm and various other firearm-related charges are Iheem Mitchell, 19, of Brampton, and three 16-year-old boys, all of Toronto.<\/p>\n
The three younger suspects cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.<\/p>\n
The police investigation continues.<\/p>\n
