VALLEY CITY \u2014 The Valley City Hi-Liners continued their strong start to the 2026 season, showcasing their depth and development in a dominant 9-0 sweep of West Fargo.<\/p>\n
Valley City controlled the match from start to finish, while also using the opportunity to give younger and newer players valuable varsity experience. The Hi-Liners held out key lineup spots, allowing players like Cambrie Westman and Kinlee Sufficool to compete in both singles and doubles for the first time in their careers \u2014 and both delivered.<\/p>\n
Sufficool earned her first varsity singles win, while Westman picked up her first doubles victory. The duo also contributed wins across the lineup, continuing to show rapid improvement and growing confidence on the court.<\/p>\n
At the top of the lineup, Valley City\u2019s veterans set the tone.<\/p>\n
Georgia Zaun, Kailee Nielson, Skye Nielson, and Lexi Svenningsen were dominant once again, combining to drop just six total games across singles and doubles play. Their consistency, shot selection, and ability to control points kept West Fargo on its heels throughout the match.<\/p>\n
Sara Beierle also bounced back with a strong performance, showing improved footwork, confidence, and mental toughness in her victory.<\/p>\n
In doubles, the Hi-Liners continued to shine. Zaun and Kailee Nielson rolled at No. 1, while Skye Nielson teamed with Westman at No. 2 for a convincing win. At No. 3, Sufficool and Beierle combined for a solid performance to complete the sweep.<\/p>\n
One of the most notable performances of the day came at No. 6 singles, where Chloe Liebersbach battled through adversity to earn her first varsity win of the season. After dropping the opening set, Liebersbach regrouped, adjusted her footwork and consistency, and took control of the match. Trailing early in the super tiebreaker, she stayed composed and closed strong, winning nine of the final 11 points to secure the victory.<\/p>\n
The Hi-Liners\u2019 ability to develop younger players while maintaining a high level of play throughout the lineup was evident in the sweep.<\/p>\n
With the win, Valley City remains unbeaten and will look to carry that momentum into a key home matchup against Sheyenne.<\/p>\n
