Spring has sprung, and those of us in Edmonton are ready for warmer temps, longer days, and super fun dates.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s a list of all the date ideas we think boyfriends should be taking note of this spring in Edmonton.<\/p>\n
What:\u00a0Now that we\u2019re finally out of hibernation, it\u2019s time to enjoy all this warmth and sunshine and pack a picnic. Edmonton has no shortage of park space where you can enjoy a meal from home on a beautiful sunny afternoon.<\/p>\n
What: While the end of the regular season may be nearing, we can\u2019t wait for the start of the playoff season. Besides, what could be more romantic than a big ol\u2019 smooch while \u201cLa Bamba\u201d plays after an Oilers win?<\/p>\n
What:\u00a0Trying new things is always a great way to shake things up a bit, and what could be more romantic than checking out a hip new restaurant? A great date spot could be Olia, Bernadette\u2019s or the airy, upscale atmosphere of Atrium at Sabor.<\/p>\n
What: Spend a spring afternoon wandering through the thoughtful and beautiful artwork at the Art Gallery of Alberta, taking in each exhibit together. Afterwards, head to a downtown Edmonton restaurant for a bite and keep the date going. If you\u2019re trying to plan a budget date, the Art Gallery offers free admission from 4 to 7 p.m. on the last Thursday of every month.<\/p>\n
What: A date at the movies is never a bad time. Edmonton\u2019s beloved Metro Cinema is the perfect spot for nostalgic favourites and thought-provoking picks this spring, but if your date prefers a reclining seat, your nearby Landmark and Cineplex are just as fabulous. Either way, you\u2019re bound to find something that piques your interest.<\/p>\n
What:\u00a0With the warm, sunny days of outdoor farmers markets fast approaching, the Edmonton area is home to plenty of outdoor and year-round markets with vibrant atmospheres and our favourite local vendors. For the perfect daytime adventure, why not browse the stalls at one of the many markets Edmonton has to offer?<\/p>\n
What: A date at the Muttart Conservatory is always romantic. When you visit the Muttart, not only do you get to enjoy more than 700 species of plants in three climate-regulated biomes, but it\u2019s also a fantastic spot to get some cute photos.<\/p>\n
What: The Royal Alberta Museum\u2019s extensive collections are impressive and offer fascinating exhibits in archaeology, Indigenous studies, work-life industries, and Earth and Life Sciences. It\u2019s the perfect destination for a date in Edmonton.<\/p>\n
What: Edmonton is blessed with tons of great brews to enjoy, so check out the various breweries in YEG and enjoy some flights and good eats this spring. Expand that palate!<\/p>\n
What: Spending time outdoors with your partner can be a fantastic way to unwind, but with snow still melting to the west, we think we\u2019ll pass on trekking through rough and muddy terrain for now.
