He will be joined by Cup Series teammate Ross Chastain at Niece Motorsports for the event.<\/p>\n<p>The three-time Supercars champion has six Cup wins, five O&#8217;Reilly wins, but no victories in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. His one and only start in the third level of NASCAR came in 2023 at the IRP short track. Driving for Niece Motorsports, it was his first oval race in all of NASCAR, finishing 19th.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m really excited to have the opportunity to race for Niece Motorsports at Watkins Glen,\u201d said van Gisbergen. \u201cI raced the truck once back in 2023 at IRP and it was epic! \u00a0Happy to be back at one of my favorite tracks. Hopefully we have a good crack at it. Thanks to Niece Motorsports, Circle B Diecast, DQS, J.F. Electric, Chevrolet and Trackhouse for giving me the opportunity. However, the team has yet to win at a road course.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShane\u2019s ability on road courses made him a clear priority for our organization at Watkins Glen,\u201d said Team President and CEO Cody Efaw. \u201cWhen we learned Shane had interest in running Truck Series races, it felt like a natural fit. Our fab and body shop have put in a tremendous amount of work building new road course trucks, and we\u2019re confident in what we\u2019re bringing to the track.
