Arthur Cazaux<\/a> has undergone surgery on his right elbow, the 23-year-old announced Wednesday on social media.<\/p>\n After a stop-start beginning to the season in which he played just two tour-level matches, the Frenchman revealed he had the procedure in Bordeaux. Cazaux added that he expects to miss the final three major tournaments of the season and is targeting a return to action in six months.<\/p>\n \u201cStill suffering from an injury to my right elbow, I had to resign myself to having an operation this Wednesday,\u201d Cazaux wrote in French on Instagram. \u201cI\u2019d been putting up with the pain for a year and a half, which had prevented me from playing matches and tournaments back to back. It just wouldn\u2019t heal, so we decided to go ahead with the operation.\u201d<\/p>\n Last year, Cazaux reached his first ATP Tour final in Kitbuehel, where he fell to Alexander Bublik<\/a>, and later climbed to a career-high No. 58 in the PIF ATP Rankings. He has also won at least one ATP Challenger title in each of the past four seasons, dating back to 2022.<\/p>\n \u201cThe operation went well,\u201d Cazaux said. \u201cAdmittedly, I\u2019m writing off the three remaining Grand Slam tournaments in 2026, with the aim of returning in six months. But this is a long-term decision: to heal my elbow once and for all, prepare myself as best I can for 2027 and be able to play season after season.\u201d<\/p>\n Did You Know?
