star Caitlin Clark is on the verge of a major WNBA milestone.<\/p>\n<p>Clark currently has 983 career <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/wnba\/teams\/IND\/leaders_career.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">points<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>She needs just 17 to reach 1,000 for her career.<\/p>\n<p>Last season, Clark averaged 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 8.8 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 36.7% from the field and 27.9% from three-point range in 13 games.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" City, Iowa.<\/p>\n<p>Clark was the first pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft after a legendary college career at Iowa.<\/p>\n<p>She played all four years for the Hawkeyes.<\/p>\n<p>During her senior season, Clark <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/wnba\/players\/c\/clarkca02w.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">averaged<\/a> 31.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, 8.9 assists and 1.7 steals per contest while shooting 45.5% from the field and 37.8% from three-point range in 39 games.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" the Fever back to the WNBA playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>That year, the 24-year-old averaged 19.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 8.6 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 41.7% from the field and 34.4% from three-point range in 40 games.<\/p>\n<p>After missing most of last season, Clark will be looking to have a big bounce back year in 2026.<\/p>\n<p><a
