(Image Credit: ID 442957864 \u00a9  Asiya Yakobsen | Dreamstime.com)<\/p>\n<p>By Logan Lehmann<\/p>\n<p>Golf Season looming<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\tApr 22, 2026 | 1:32 PM\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>The opening date for Cooke Municipal Golf Course will not be anytime soon.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Like many other courses in the area, the province\u2019s fourth oldest golf club is at the mercy of mother nature this season as a series of late season snowstorms have piled on the powder, pushing back their opening to later and later dates.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Executive professional for the course Darcy Myers told paNOW that once the snow finally leaves for good, it\u2019ll be all hands on deck to get the course mid-season conditions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere hasn\u2019t been much done with the amount of snow that we have. Just waiting for levels to go down a little bit before we can start pushing some greens off and kind of assessing the situation. A lot of the prep work, for tournaments and whatnot has been completed already.
