Man wanted for Calgary murder arrested in Abbotsford<\/p>\n

A man who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder in Calgary has been arrested in Abbotsford.<\/p>\n
A press release on Wednesday (April 22) from the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC) said the man was arrested on Tuesday at 12:50 p.m.<\/p>\n
The release said the suspect \u2013 whose name has not been released \u2013 had previously evaded arrest and was preparing to leave the Lower Mainland. Officers then conducted a \u201chigh-risk takedown.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cDespite his unsuccessful attempt to flee, officers were able to safely bring him into custody. No one was injured during the arrest,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n
The man has now been transferred into the custody of the Calgary Police Service. No further details were released, including where in Abbotsford the arrest occurred.<\/p>\n
