{"id":623075,"date":"2026-04-23T10:33:19","date_gmt":"2026-04-23T10:33:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/623075\/"},"modified":"2026-04-23T10:33:19","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T10:33:19","slug":"corrie-favourite-confirmed-for-big-soap-return-on-a-different-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/623075\/","title":{"rendered":"Corrie favourite confirmed for big soap return &#8211; on a different show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Coronation Street\u2019s Brooke Vincent has joined the cast of Hollyoaks for a &#8220;powerful storyline&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The actress played Sally and Kevin Webster\u2019s daughter Sophie on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/soaps\/coronation-street\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the ITV soap<\/a> for 15 years from 2004, before going on maternity leave in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The news of her casting was revealed in a post on the star\u2019s official Instagram account, which featured a photo of herself on set alongside a caption which read: &#8220;So excited to be joining the cast of Hollyoaks for such a powerful storyline.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She added: &#8220;I am so grateful for this opportunity to be back on screen playing a brand new character plus my family will be happy I\u2019m back in a full time job haha!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Details of her new storyline in Hollyoaks remain under wraps.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image__img\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/coronation-street-brooke-vincent-sophie-webster-5f1b195.jpg\" alt=\"Brooke Vincent as Sophie Webster on Coronation Street\" data-item-name=\"Brooke Vincent as Sophie Webster on Coronation Street\" title=\"Brooke Vincent as Sophie Webster on Coronation Street\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1 \/ 0.666534339023422;object-fit:contain\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"700\" height=\"466.5740373163954\" data-testid=\"image-img\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Brooke Vincent as Sophie Webster on Coronation Street\u00a0ITV<\/p>\n<p>Last year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/tv\/soaps\/coronation-street\/coronation-street-brooke-vincent-return-newsupdate\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Vincent<\/a> revealed she\u2019d be opening to returning as Sophie on Coronation Street.<\/p>\n<p>She told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ok.co.uk\/celebrity-news\/coronation-street-legend-teases-return-36048349\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">OK! Magazine:<\/a> &#8220;Whenever, if ever, they ask me, I\u2019d love to go back. I\u2019ve got a lot of friends there, it\u2019s like family.
