Darrell Sheets, who appeared as one of the main personalities on popular series Storage Wars<\/a>, died Wednesday at the age of 67.<\/p>\n

The Lake Havasu City Police Department in Arizona said Sheets died of what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn April 22, 2026, at approximately 0200 hours, officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive in reference to a reported deceased individual,\u201d the police department said in a release provided to Variety<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe male was pronounced deceased on scene and the Lake Havasu City Police Department\u2019s Criminal Investigations Unit was notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Police said the body was \u201cultimately turned over to the Mohave County Medical Examiner\u2019s office for further investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe male subject has been identified as Darrell Sheets, a 67-year-old resident of Lake Havasu City and Darrell\u2019s family has been notified. This incident remains under active investigation, and additional information will be released as it becomes available,\u201d the release continued.<\/p>\n

Global News has reached out to the Lake Havasu City Police Department for further comment.<\/p>\n

Sheets appeared on 163 episodes of\u00a0Storage Wars, a series that followed a group of bidders who bought repossessed storage units.<\/p>\n

In 2019, Sheets suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized. He retired from Storage Wars in 2023 and opened an antique store called Havasu Show Me Your Junk in Lake Havasu.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for A&E, which airs Storage Wars, told multiple outlets that they were \u201csaddened by the passing of a beloved member of our\u00a0Storage Wars\u00a0family, Darrell \u2018The Gambler\u2019 Sheets.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOur thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time,\u201d the spokesperson added.<\/p>\n

Shortly after news of Sheets\u2019 death spread, his Storage Wars co-stars took to social media to share their condolences.<\/p>\n

Brandi Passante took to Instagram<\/a>, writing, \u201cI\u2019m at a loss for words! I\u2019ve known Darrel [sic] Sheets for many years. I\u2019m just so very sorry, to hear the circumstances of his passing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dan Dotson, the auctioneer on\u00a0Storage Wars, wrote<\/a>, \u201cRIP Darrell Sheets. You\u2019re in our hearts and minds. The world is going to miss you brother.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another Storage Wars co-star, Rene Nezhoda, shared a video to Instagram<\/a>, claiming that Sheets had recently faced cyberbullying.<\/p>\n

\u201cDarrell has been posting a lot about the guy that\u2019s been cyberbullying him and tormenting him, and I really hope [law enforcement] look into that guy and it\u2019s just not a pass. It\u2019s just not right, guys. Be better,\u201d Nezhoda said in the video.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know a lot of you guys think we hated each other, because we competed a lot on the show,\u201d Nezhoda continued, adding: \u201cDeep down me and Darrell were friends, we talked every now and then.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nezhoda called Sheets a \u201cvery hard worker that cared more than anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sgt. Kyle Ridgway, public information officer for the Lake Havasu City Police Department, responded to Nezhoda\u2019s cyberbullying allegations in a statement to Fox News Digital<\/a>, saying, \u201cWe are aware of these cyberbullying accusations and that is a part of the active investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sheets leaves behind a son, Brandon, who also occasionally appeared on Storage Wars with his father.<\/p>\n
