One man has been charged after a slashing attack on a woman at Burnaby SkyTrain station in September.<\/p>\n
The Metro Vancouver Transit Police (MVTP) says a physical altercation broke out at Metrotown Station just before noon on Friday, Sept. 5, 2025.<\/p>\n
\u201cA 70-year-old woman, who was standing nearby and not involved in the dispute, was slashed in the leg with an edged weapon during the fight,\u201d MVTP said at the time.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe individuals who were involved in the fight then fled the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n
Shortly after, police arrested two men and a woman and found two weapons nearby.<\/p>\n
In an update Thursday, police say the BC Prosecution Service has charged a 39-year-old man with one count of unlawfully causing bodily in relation to the incident.<\/p>\n
Transit police say all three suspects remain in custody and the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
