If he is healthy, Edmonton native Alphonso Davies is expected to be part of the Canadian club.<\/p>\n<p>It looks like the buzz around the World Cup has picked up in Edmonton, as a total of 36,000 tickets have already been sold for the match, more than a month before it\u2019s set to be played.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s already on track to be the third-highest attendance for a soccer game at Commonwealth Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>The only other soccer games to surpass this mark in Edmonton are 2022\u2019s World Cup qualifiers against Mexico (44,212) and Costa Rica (48,806). There is still plenty of time for Edmonton soccer fans to hit both of those marks.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the tickets purchased appear to be in the lower bowl, but there are still plenty of seats available in both the lower and upper sections of the stadium.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyhive.com\/huge-crowd-commonwealth-stadium-canada-soccer-edmonton\/canada-edmonton-fifa\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2265091 nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img alt=\"Canada-Edmonton-FIFA\" title=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"695\" height=\"631\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2265091\" style=\"color:transparent\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Canada-Edmonton-FIFA.png\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-2265091\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ticketmaster<\/p>\n<p>As of Thursday, the cheapest lower-bowl tickets are sitting at $60, while the cheapest upper-bowl tickets are $53 on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketmaster.ca\/event\/110064278540388B?gad_source=1&amp;gad_campaignid=23527252277&amp;gbraid=0AAAAAo_qdHkDBDYOiMFJiN4ALRJl6Uogb&amp;gclid=CjwKCAjwhqfPBhBWEiwAZo196rfDZyNj4DRDo_FAQOyC_YUadfiyucseb3TgpK2MhkSDPITRNR3RVhoCUk0QAvD_BwE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Ticketmaster<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The match against Uzbekistan is the first time that the Canadian men\u2019s national team has played in the Alberta capital since 2022, when they defeated Mexico during the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.<\/p>\n<p>This will be the first of two warm-up matches for Team Canada ahead of the World Cup, with the other coming on June 5 against Ireland in Montreal.<\/p>\n<p>Canada will play FIFA World Cup games on home soil for the first-time ever later this year.
