{"id":624476,"date":"2026-04-24T01:06:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-24T01:06:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/624476\/"},"modified":"2026-04-24T01:06:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T01:06:09","slug":"leak-reveals-new-xbox-game-pass-starter-edition-thats-part-of-discord-nitro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/624476\/","title":{"rendered":"Leak reveals new Xbox Game Pass \u2018Starter Edition\u2019 that\u2019s part of Discord Nitro"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Microsoft <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/916787\/microsoft-discord-xbox-game-pass-partnership\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">started teasing<\/a> a mysterious Discord and Xbox Game Pass partnership yesterday, and a new leak appears to have detailed exactly what\u2019s coming. <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DiscordPreviews\" rel=\"nofollow\">Discord Previews<\/a> has uncovered a new Xbox Game Pass \u201cStarter Edition\u201d that is bundled with Discord Nitro.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">The Starter Edition reportedly includes \u201caccess to over 50 games from the Game Pass library,\u201d as well as 10 hours a month of Xbox Cloud Gaming streaming and the ability to earn Xbox Rewards points while playing games. It\u2019s not clear which games will be part of the more than 50 titles available, but the leaked images suggest that Stardew Valley, Grounded, and Fallout 4 will be included.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">The Starter Edition doesn\u2019t appear to be limited to Microsoft\u2019s own first-party Xbox games, either. Better xCloud developer redphx <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/redphx\/status\/2047347485426040921\" rel=\"nofollow\">also uncovered<\/a> the Xbox Game Pass (Starter Edition) earlier today, and noted that a lot of third-party games will be available through this new Game Pass tier.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/tech\/874303\/microsoft-xbox-roadmap-2026-notepad\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">I reported in February<\/a> that Microsoft is looking at ways to bundle third-party services with Game Pass subscriptions. This new Starter Edition appears to be a way for other services to bundle Game Pass.
