A power outage has suspended play at the Cincinnati Open<\/a> at 5:25 p.m. on Monday.<\/p>\n

Taylor Fritz<\/a> had just claimed the opening set 7-6(4) against Lorenzo Sonego<\/a> on the P&G Center Court when the action was halted. Stefanos Tsitsipas<\/a> leads Benjamin Bonzi<\/a> 7-6(4), 2-5 on Court 3.<\/p>\n

Due to an on-site power outage, play is currently suspended. #CincyOpen<\/a><\/p>\n

Defending champion Jannik Sinner<\/a> will be in third-round action later on Monday when the action resumes. The Italian is meeting Canadian Gabriel Diallo<\/a>. Joao Fonseca<\/a> and Tommy Paul<\/a> are among the other stars competing on Day 5 in Ohio. <\/p>\n

Earlier, seventh seed Holger Rune<\/a> moved past American Alex Michelsen<\/a> 7-6(4), 6-3 to reach the fourth round. The Dane enjoyed a semi-final showing in Ohio 12 months ago and needs to advance to the last four again this fortnight if he is to remain in the Top 10 in the PIF ATP Rankings.<\/p>\n

Rune rallied from a break down in the first set against Michelsen before upping the aggression in the second set to earn victory after one hour and 35 minutes in the pair\u2019s first Lexus ATP Head2Head meeting.<\/p>\n

The Dane will next meet Frances Tiafoe<\/a> after the 10th-seeded American beat Ugo Humbert<\/a> 6-4, 6-4. Tiafoe advanced to his maiden ATP Masters 1000 final in Cincinnati last year and has now earned 50 hard-court wins at this level.<\/p>\n

Felix Auger-Aliassime<\/a> improved to 9-0 against Frenchmen in 2025 after Arthur Rinderknech<\/a> was forced to retire. The Canadian Auger-Alassime led 7-6(4), 4-2 when Rinderknech ended the action on Champions\u2019 Court. Auger-Aliassime has won more matches (11) in Cincinnati than at any other Masters 1000 event. The 23rd seed takes on Tsitsipas or Bonzi in the fourth round.<\/p>\n
