Tszyu has split with his fight team<\/a> for the second time in six months and linked up with Hall of Famer Jeff Fenech.<\/p>\nThe Gold Coast\u2019s Cbus Super Stadium is a leading venue option, although if a deal with the Queensland Government can\u2019t be reached, the fight is expected to head to AT&T Stadium in Dallas \u2013 likely in July or August.<\/p>\n
Diaz, however, isn\u2019t a fan of the fight.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s actually a fight that shouldn\u2019t even happen because they\u2019re both old \u2013 a fight for oldies,\u201d Diaz said.<\/p>\n

Adding another layer to the callout, Diaz recently posted footage of himself training alongside British world champ Josh Kelly.<\/p>\n
Kelly claimed the IBF super-welterweight title earlier this year with a superb win over Russian enforcer Bakhram Murtazaliev \u2013 the same fighter who dropped Tim Tszyu four times in their brutal 2024 world title clash.<\/p>\n
In the clip, Diaz works through a bag session before turning to the camera, calling out Nikita by name and dragging his thumb across his throat.<\/p>\n
Asked about the gesture this week, he shrugged it off.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t see any problem with the video,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m just happy to come to Australia and do my thing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nikita\u2019s last outing — a controversial showdown with Michael Zerafa — drew huge attention across Australian boxing and only added to his growing profile.<\/p>\n

The fallout further lifted Tszyu\u2019s profile, but Diaz says he isn\u2019t fazed by the lack of similar fanfare around his own arrival.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat was a fight between two Australians \u2013 and it was a big moment in Australian boxing history,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t care that people aren\u2019t talking about me now.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut they will be talking about me when I leave.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tszyu is unbeaten through 11 fights, with Diaz set to become his seventh undefeated opponent.<\/p>\n
The southpaw is unorthodox, aggressive and has proven he packs genuine fight-ending power.<\/p>\n
