A leading aesthetics doctor has been suspended by the General Medical Council (GMC) pending an investigation into his fitness to practice.<\/p>\n
Dr Rajveer Singh Thethi, 36, is no longer listed as a director of the Yorkshire Skin Centre in Yeadon, Leeds, and the clinic has been deregistered by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).<\/p>\n
The practice said the former NHS doctor was “no longer associated” with the business, and his profile has been removed from its website. However, it remains open, offering a range of cosmetic treatments, under the management of his wife, Sharan Thethi.<\/p>\n
A GMC spokesperson said the interim suspension order, which is in place for 18 months, was imposed on 16 April.<\/p>\n
Dr Thethi is said to be “well-known” in the British aesthetics industry with a number of high-profile clients.<\/p>\n
He graduated from the University of Leeds in 2013, is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons and opened the Yorkshire Skin Centre in its Yeadon premises in 2021.<\/p>\n
In a statement the GMC said: “Dr Rajveer Singh Thethi is currently interim suspended pending the conclusion of a GMC investigation. The interim suspension was imposed by a medical tribunal on 16 April 2026.”<\/p>\n
No further details of the reasons behind the suspension have been given.<\/p>\n
The order prevents Dr Thethi practicing medicine while an investigation into his fitness to practice remains ongoing.<\/p>\n
According to Companies House, Dr Thethi resigned as a director of Yorkshire Skincare Centre Ltd on 28 November.<\/p>\n
On 28 January the CQC deregistered the business following a voluntary application.<\/p>\n
Dr Thethi’s specialisms include facial aesthetics, plasma treatment, scar and hyperpigmentation treatment, and skin lesions.<\/p>\n
Aesthetics clinics do not always require CQC registration, but must register if they offer a number of regulated activities, such as surgical procedures.<\/p>\n
A CQC spokesperson said: “The service made the decision to deregister voluntarily in January this year.”<\/p>\n
The Yorkshire Skin Clinic’s current director, Sharan Thethi, confirmed that Dr Thethi was no longer associated with the practice, but offered no further comment when contacted by the BBC.<\/p>\n
