{"id":626079,"date":"2026-04-24T18:26:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-24T18:26:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/626079\/"},"modified":"2026-04-24T18:26:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T18:26:09","slug":"highway-1-exit-closure-to-impact-metro-vancouver-drivers-for-several-weeks-daily-hive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/626079\/","title":{"rendered":"Highway 1 exit closure to impact Metro Vancouver drivers for several weeks | Daily Hive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Work to widen Highway 1 through the Fraser Valley continues this spring, and drivers are being warned that traffic-pattern changes may impact overnight commutes as early as this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The Government of B.C. announced that overnight traffic-pattern changes are planned for Highway 1 at Highway 11 as\u00a0part of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyhive.com\/vancouver\/highway-1-langley-abbotsford-expansion-fraser-valley-design\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">widening and upgrade of the highway through the Lower Mainland<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers are warned that the off-ramp from Highway 1 westbound to Highway 11 will be closed for several dates in April and May.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs construction progresses on widening Highway 1 through the Fraser Valley, drivers will be rerouted through the McCallum Road Interchange (exit 90) while the overnight off-ramp closures are in place,\u201d said the Ministry of Transportation and Transit in a release.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"Highway 1 construction\" title=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"wp-image-2242403 size-large\" style=\"color:transparent\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Highway-One-construction-1024x683.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-2242403\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">B.C.
