(Credit: THE CANADIAN PRESS\/Darryl Dyck)      <\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\"><a href=\"https:\/\/financialpost.com\/tag\/air-canada\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Air Canada;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;Air Canada&quot;}\" class=\"link \">Air Canada<\/a> is acquiring 30 new planes that feature 14 lie-flat seats on a single-aisle aircraft, the company announced on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">The airline will be the first in Canada to offer this type of horizontal seating, through its newly designed Signature Class premium cabins, starting this summer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">\u201cAir Canada is building one of the most modern and capable fleets in the industry,\u201d executive vice-president and chief commercial officer Mark Galardo said in a press release. \u201cThe Airbus A321XLR introduces a dynamic new component to Air Canada\u2019s growth strategy, greatly expanding our flexibility to launch new international routes and improve our offering on existing markets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">On Friday, the company said it had received its first Airbus A321XLR delivery from Hamburg, Germany.
