{"id":626561,"date":"2026-04-24T23:28:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-24T23:28:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/626561\/"},"modified":"2026-04-24T23:28:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T23:28:08","slug":"school-bus-crash-with-children-on-board-leaves-man-dead-north-of-brampton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/626561\/","title":{"rendered":"School bus crash with children on board leaves man dead north of Brampton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police are investigating after a man was killed and a school bus driver was injured in a crash north of Brampton.<\/p>\n<p>The two-vehicle collision happened around noon on Mayfield Road west of Innis Lake Road on Friday, the OPP says.<\/p>\n<p>The school bus was carrying eight children when it crashed with a passenger vehicle, and police say the 78\u2011year\u2011old driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>None of the children were injured, but the bus driver was transported to a local hospital with non\u2011life\u2011threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Police closed Mayfield Road between Innis Lake Road and Airport Road, which has since reopened.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information about this incident can contact the OPP by calling 1-888-310-1122.
