Four people including a man from Brampton have been hit with charges following a raid at a suspected drug house, police say.<\/p>\n
The arrests happened on Wednesday following an investigation into a home in Kenora \u201cwhich was suspected of being involved in drug-related activities,\u201d the OPP says.<\/p>\n
Police say they searched the home and found fentanyl, Canadian currency with an estimated value of $8,000, and other items seized including a digital scale and cellphones.<\/p>\n
Four people were arrested and charged with drug trafficking offences.<\/p>\n
The OPP says Nathanial Matthews, 28, of Brampton has been charged with failure to comply with release order, possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking \u2013 fentanyl, and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime \u2013 under $5,000.<\/p>\n
Martine Petiquan, 45, of Kenora, has been charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking \u2013 fentanyl, and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime \u2013 under $5,000.<\/p>\n
Kellie Twoheart, 32, of Wabaseemoong First Nation, and Konrad Muckle, 33, of Kenora, were each charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking \u2013 fentanyl.<\/p>\n
The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora at a later date.<\/p>\n
