Orchard Park, NY (WGR550) – One position that wasn\u2019t mentioned quite enough when it came to Buffalo Bills needs in the 2026 NFL Draft was outside\/boundary cornerback.<\/p>\n

As it stood headed into the draft, the Bills had only two entrenched players at the position – Christian Benford and Maxwell Hairston.<\/p>\n

The playing future of Dorian Strong is still up in the air after suffering a neck injury last year, and the only other names on the roster were Te\u2019Cory Couch, MJ Devonshire, and Daryl Porter, Jr..<\/p>\n

That changed when the team selected Divison Igbinosun in the second round (62nd overall) after a trade-up with the Denver Broncos. <\/p>\n

Igbinosun, called \u201cIGB\u201d by general manger Brandon Beane, presumably immediately becomes the third outside corner on a team that was severely stressed at the position as last season went on.<\/p>\n

Beane said the 6\u20192\u201d, 198 pound Igbinosun\u2019s best strength is playing press-man.<\/p>\n

\u201cCorners are premium positions,\u201d Beane said. \u201cIf you look at our season last year, and it\u2019s happened before, those guys are all gonna play. It\u2019s a long season.\u201d<\/p>\n

Igbinosun was called for twelve penalties in 2024, but reduced those way down to four in 2025. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe improved those dramatically this year,\u201d Beane said when asked if the penalties are a concern. \u201cWe\u2019ll work on that. Sometimes that\u2019s technique. That\u2019s one of the things I\u2019d say that he improved the most from his 2024 film to his 2025 film. Very aware. Football smart young man. Football savvy. Probably off-coverage is something he\u2019ll have to continue to improve on. I think more of those (penalties) were in that than when he\u2019s up in press.\u201d<\/p>\n
