It took a lot of effort to get here, and it was a fun ride to follow, but ultimately, the team is too injured and too overwhelmed to potentially win 4 in a row against a team like the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Hurricanes have been good this series, but not even close to their potential. They will be motivated to end this series today and take advantage of a longer break before they face the Flyers, who will probably give them a bit more physicality and trouble than the Sens, who play a different brand of hockey.

For the Sens, I am sure every person in the organization knows what a tall order it would be to come back from a 0-3 deficit, but they all want to avoid the embarrassment of a sweep at home. The problem with that idea is that frustration seems to set in with the players and even the coach who called both Tkachuk and Stützle “average”. I don’t disagree with him, but I can’t imagine the players are too happy hearing that being said in public.

Brady Tkachuk is saying all the “right” things about believing and making a great story, but at the end of the day, it’s actions that matter, and his actions haven’t been anywhere close to productive for the team.

Head-To-Head Stats

Stat check before game four 📊#GoSensGo pic.twitter.com/ME6Fq7dVpa

— x – Ottawa Senators (@Senators) April 25, 2026
Projected LineupGame NotesThe Ottawa Senators will be without Jake Sanderson and Artem Zub, a story that has plagued this team the whole season. Thomas Chabot and Jordan Spence will have a lot on their plate today, and I’m not confident they can handle it.Whatever happens today, Linus Ullmark deserves a standing ovation. I’d urge fans in attendance to chant his name, except they only seem to jinx the team when they do that – taunting Frederik Andersen in a tied game? Seriously? The 0% power play stat is basically the story of the series for the Sens. They have failed to capitalize on many PP opportunities, and it’s cost them the series. The Hurricanes’ power play hasn’t been much more productive, but unlike the Sens, they don’t need it to be to get wins. Will today be the day Tim Stützle scores a goal? I can’t imagine it’s any good ending the season with our top player being held completely goalless.Poorly-timed chanting aside, the crowd was great in Game 3, and I hope they bring the same energy today, and for the sake of everyone, it would be nice if the Sens showed some life.Do you think the Sens have it in them to at least win Game 4?You can watch the game on Sportsnet at 3 pm or Listen Live at TSN1200.

Is this the end?
