Christina Applegate\u2019s pals and former co-stars like Ed O\u2019Neill and Katey Sagal are reportedly \u201canguished\u201d over the actress\u2019 health<\/a> after her recent hospitalization<\/a> \u2014 so much so that they\u2019ve reached out to her. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey don\u2019t think this is it for her, she\u2019s not dying right now. But they wanted to make sure that nothing was left unsaid,\u201d a source close with Applegate and who worked on \u201cMarried\u2026 With Children\u201d told the Daily Mail<\/a> in an interview published Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey told each other that they love each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also among the list of celebrities who reportedly reached out with words of support were her \u201cDead to Me\u201d co-star Linda Cardellini, her \u201cAnchorman\u201d costar Will Ferrell and Jean Smart, who played her mother in 2007\u2019s \u201cSamantha Who?\u201d<\/p>\n

Though, the message from O\u2019Neill \u2014 who played her father on \u201cMarried\u2026 With Children\u201d \u2014 held a significant meaning for Applegate as the pair remain close.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t want to say that Ed is a father figure to her, but they have kept in touch since their \u2018Married with Children\u2019 days and they are very, very close,\u201d an insider close to O\u2019Neill shared. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey always have been. They text, they see each other, they call on the phone.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source added: \u201cHe heard the news that she was hospitalized and he immediately texted her and asked if he could help, told her he loved her, that he was here for her in any way that she needs.\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Neill is \u201canguished\u201d and \u201cso worried about her,\u201d the source continued. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe loves her very much. Obviously it\u2019s not like she\u2019s on her deathbed, I don\u2019t think, but she\u2019s not doing well and anything can happen,\u201d said the insider. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe hates to see her suffering, that really gets to him. So he\u2019s offered whatever he can do to help. He\u2019s family to her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reps for Applegate, O\u2019Neill and Sagal did not immediately respond to Page Six\u2019s requests for comment.<\/p>\n

Applegate, who was diagnosed with MS<\/a> in 2021, was hospitalized in Los Angeles late last month. However, it was unclear if the reason had anything to do with her autoimmune disease.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have no comment on whether she is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are,\u201d a rep for the actress told Page Six in a statement at the time. \u201cShe\u2019s had a long history of complicated medical conditions that she has been refreshingly open about, as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast.\u201d<\/p>\n
