{"id":628726,"date":"2026-04-25T23:47:16","date_gmt":"2026-04-25T23:47:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/628726\/"},"modified":"2026-04-25T23:47:16","modified_gmt":"2026-04-25T23:47:16","slug":"problematic-property-in-south-surrey-causing-concern-for-neighbours-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/628726\/","title":{"rendered":"Problematic property in South Surrey causing concern for neighbours"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>              Problematic property in South Surrey causing concern for neighbours<\/p>\n<p class=\"pubStamp\">Published 2:45 pm Friday, April 24, 2026<\/p>\n<p>A problematic property in South Surrey is causing concern for many of its neighbours. <\/p>\n<p>Located near 32 Avenue and 196 Street, the vacant property has reportedly, turned into an illegal dumping ground of sorts and has also, been the site of multiple fires. <\/p>\n<p>At a press conference Thursday (April 23), Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke was asked about the site.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did check into that. We have had several calls from neighbours in that area. It is a major concern. I do believe it\u2019s five calls that have been addressed by our bylaw department,\u201d Locke said at the presser.<\/p>\n<p>She said the city is aware and working to address the issue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dIt\u2019s something we\u2019re addressing all the time with that vacant property.
