Mark Carney presents our relationship with the U.S. as a rupture and insists that U.S. ties are a weakness. Fanning the flames of Trump Derangement Syndrome enables him to convince some Canadians that the U.S. is now our enemy.<\/p>\n
Donald Trump will not be in office forever; this too will pass. We have been friends, partners and allies for decades, and this will still be the case in the long run.<\/p>\n
Canada and the U.S. are like families; we have our disagreements and arguments, but in the end we must stand and work together to defend our continent and preserve our way of life. Most of us have family and friends living and working in the U.S., and know Americans living and working in Canada. Our societies are intertwined and integrated, and in some cases reliant on each other.<\/p>\n
Sorry, Mr. Carney, Trump is not America, we have no intention of being the 51st state and we have no intention of joining the EU.<\/p>\n
I wonder, how can Mr. Carney, who has labelled himself as European, possibly form relationships, sign agreements and initiate policies that are \u201calways\u201c in the best interest of Canada?<\/p>\n

Dear Doug, stop digging!<\/p>\n
Premier Ford was flying high (sort of) before his Challenger purchase, but has rapidly lost altitude in the volatile skies of public opinion.<\/p>\n
He is now in a deep hole, and the popular advice for that situation is to stop digging.<\/p>\n
Yes, Quebec has three jets, but they\u2019re primarily for medevac use. Yes, the PM uses DND-owned jets for travel. But spare us your excuse of your \u201cextensive travels\u201d.<\/p>\n
Stay home and fix things here, Doug.<\/p>\n
You are not \u201cLeaving on a Jet Plane\u201d, contrary to that old John Denver song.<\/p>\n
You\u2019ve been grounded.<\/p>\n
