(Justin Fraser\/CBC)<\/p>\n<p>A 33-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving causing death more than seven months after a 49-year-old woman was killed in a collision while waiting at a bus stop on Abinojii Mikanah last fall.<\/p>\n<p>Omotayo Samuel-Pepple was hit by a vehicle while she waited for a bus near the corner of Abinojii Mikanah and St. Mary&#8217;s Road on around 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 16, 2025, Winnipeg police said in a news release at the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle had been travelling eastbound when it veered onto the shoulder and struck her.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Samuel-Pepple was transported to hospital in critical condition and died of her injuries two days later, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Samuel-Pepple&#8217;s family <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/manitoba\/crash-accident-1.7643618\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">previously told CBC News<\/a> that the mother of three was studying human resource management at the University of Manitoba.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On April 21 \u2014 more than seven months after the incident \u2014 traffic division investigators arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with the fatal collision, Winnipeg police said in a Sunday news release.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and driving while disqualified, police said.
