Winnipeg police (WPS) arrested 23-year-old man for allegedly firing a gun in the Lord Selkirk Park neighbourhood Saturday.<\/p>\n
WPS received a 911 call shortly before 4:30 p.m. reported a man with a gun near Main Street and Euclid Avenue.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival near the scene, WPS officers found the suspect, Damon Wyatt Mallet, standing in a yard in the 200 block of Austin Street and arrested him.<\/p>\n
\u201cOfficers found a loaded sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun concealed on his person which was seized as evidence,\u201d WPS said.<\/p>\n

Careless Use of Firearm, Ammunition, Prohibited Weapon or Device<\/p>\n
Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition<\/p>\n
Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized<\/p>\n
Possession of Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm<\/p>\n
Possession of a Firearm, Restricted\/Prohibited Weapon, Firearm Part or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order<\/p>\n
Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order<\/p>\n
Mallett remains in police custody.<\/p>\n
