Asked if Teremoana could win the Australian title in the near future, Browne didn\u2019t hesitate.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, 100 per cent,\u201d he replied.<\/p>\n
\u201cEasily.\u201d<\/p>\n
Teremoana\u2019s most recent win came just last month, when he flattened American Curtis Harper \u2013 the eighth time he has scored a first-round knockout.<\/p>\n

In 10 professional wins, the heavy-hitter has only been taken beyond the opening round twice, quickly making him one of the most exciting fighters in the country.<\/p>\n
The fight looms as a real test for the unbeaten 28-year-old \u2013 and a chance to punch his ticket to a blockbuster Aussie title showdown with Stevan Ivic.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt looks like he\u2019s got great power and size,\u201d said Browne, who stands 6\u20195\u201d (196cm).<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s bigger than me!\u201d<\/p>\n
Browne revealed he has met Teremoana and even offered some simple but important advice.<\/p>\n
\u201cFitness. Fitness. Fitness,\u201d Browne said he told the 28-year-old.<\/p>\n
\u201cStaying active and not dropping off in the later rounds is very important as a heavyweight.<\/p>\n
\u201cSparring is important \u2013 but I also recommend the assault bike. It\u2019s easier on the joints of the bigger fighters.\u201d<\/p>\n
Browne said he isn\u2019t convinced Teremoana is world title-quality just yet \u2013 but stressed the heavyweight division is one where fighters often peak later, and the big man has plenty of time on his side.<\/p>\n
\u201cI started fighting professionally at age 30,\u201d said Browne, who went on to famously win the WBA heavyweight strap from Ruslan Chagaev seven years later.<\/p>\n
Browne says Teremoana now simply needs to keep building his profile as he rises through the ranks.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe just needs those little tests along the way,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt forces you to either step up or fold.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut all these knockouts are great for his confidence and wellbeing \u2013 and for building that reputation.\u201d<\/p>\n
Browne is not alone in his praise.<\/p>\n
Former Australian heavyweight champ Bob Mirovic recently told Fox Sports Australia the rising prospect has \u201call the attributes to make it\u201d, while cautioning he must remain focused.<\/p>\n
Mirovic, who shared the ring with the likes of Joe Bugner, Nikolai Valuev and Frans Botha — and also sparred with Mike Tyson — said discipline would be key to long-term success.<\/p>\n
Another former national titleholder, Ben Edwards, added he will be watching Teremoana\u2019s progress very closely.<\/p>\n
Promoter Hearn, meanwhile, admits matching the towering heavyweight has already become a headache.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf there are any Australian heavyweights watching this interview right now, step up and fight our man Teremoana Teremoana,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s so difficult to get Australian heavyweights to face this man.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s an absolute monster.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s so good that they had to name him twice.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd I believe that you\u2019re looking at the future heavyweight champion.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, another Australian star Browne holds in the highest regard is world champion Jai Opetaia \u2013 and he\u2019d love to see him one day challenge heavyweight kingpin Oleksandr Usyk.<\/p>\n
\u201cJai was my main sparring partner for my world title fight,\u201d Browne said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love that guy \u2013 I\u2019m so proud of him.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was fighting a lefty and Jai would drive down to the Blacktown PCYC all the time for me.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wasn\u2019t surprised when he won the title. He\u2019s been sparring big boys all his life.<\/p>\n
