McLaren’s promotional poster for the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, designed by illustrator Matt Taylor, has left fans excited for a potential special livery for the upcoming Florida race.<\/p>\n
Some eagle-eyed fans believe that the design hints at a retro, Sega-inspired livery paying tribute to Ayrton Senna’s legendary 1993 win at Donington Park.<\/p>\n
Within the design, which features the MCL40, Sonic the Hedgehog and the iconic gold rings from the retro game franchise, fans spotted the silhouette of the McLaren<\/a> MP4\/8, which Senna drove during the 1993 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n Sega was the title sponsor of the 1993 European Grand Prix held at Donington Park. While the Japanese gaming giant sponsored the rival Williams<\/a> team that year, Senna dominated the race after going from fifth to first on the opening lap.
