On April 25, 2026, a\u00a041-year-old man\u00a0was taken into custody following a short stand-off with the Winnipeg Police Service Tactical Support Team (TST) in the St. Vital area.<\/p>\n
Between April 13 and April 17, 2026, Graeme HAVENS (41) was the subject of multiple protection orders. <\/p>\n
On April 24, email communications were sent to protected individuals from an account believed to belong to HAVENS, breaching the protection orders. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest. Officers also had information that he was armed with a firearm and had made concerning comments toward police on social media.<\/p>\n
On April 25 at approximately 3:10 p.m., West District General Patrol officers, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team (TST), Drone Unit, K9 unit, and Crisis Negotiation Unit, attended a residence in the 1\u201399 block of Sadler Avenue to arrest HAVENS. <\/p>\n
When officers attempted to make contact, HAVENS barricaded himself inside the residence. At approximately 5:05 p.m., after extensive negotiation, he exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident.<\/p>\n
HAVENS has been charged with Disobeying Court Order x 7.
