The world\u2019s largest martial arts organization returns to Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, this Friday, May 1, and fans tuning in live in Asia primetime can expect a stacked night of martial arts action.<\/p>\n
ONE Friday Fights 152<\/a> airs just days after the historic ONE SAMURAI 1<\/a> \u2014 which airs on live.onefc.com<\/a> on Wednesday, April 29 \u2014 and features nine bouts across Muay Thai and MMA, with all but one athlete on the card hunting a coveted US$100,000 contract and spot on ONE\u2019s global roster.<\/p>\n In the main event, former 140-pound Omnoi Stadium Muay Thai Champion Kongklai Sor Sommai<\/a> puts his three-fight winning streak on the line against experienced Brazilian finisher Julio Lobo<\/a> in a bantamweight Muay Thai showdown.<\/p>\n The 27-year-old Kongklai is one of the most powerful southpaws in the division. He lost his first 10 professional fights before turning his career around with an 18-fight winning streak that featured 15 knockouts \u2014 and he has not looked back since.<\/p>\n The 2020 Sports Authority of Thailand Fighter of the Year, Kongklai has built a reputation as a one-punch knockout threat who can end the fight at any moment with his thunderous straight left.<\/p>\n Across from him, the 31-year-old Lobo has carved out a career as one of the few foreign fighters in Thailand to excel in the clinch. <\/p>\n The Brazilian began training Muay Thai at 13 and made the move to Thailand on the advice of his coach, going on to claim the 140-pound Omnoi Stadium title along the way. He fights for the future of his 10-year-old son Gustavo and heads into Friday off the back of a victory over a previously red-hot Worapon Lukjaoporongtom<\/a>.<\/p>\n In the co-main event, Panrit Lukjaomaesaiwaree<\/a> and Krisana Dowdenmuaythai<\/a> run it back in a bantamweight Muay Thai rematch with plenty at stake for both men.<\/p>\n The 29-year-old Panrit is a career warrior who started fighting professionally at just 5 years old, guided by his older brother and close family friend Superbon<\/a>, the current ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion. <\/p>\n With 30 knockout wins to his name and a ferocious pressure style built around powerful body kicks and relentless clinch work, the Superbon Training Camp product heads into the rematch determined to even the score.<\/p>\n Standing in his way is the 25-year-old Krisana, who claimed a unanimous decision victory over Panrit at ONE Friday Fights 131<\/a> and arrives on a three-fight winning streak.
