Tottenham have confirmed their 22-man travelling squad for the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday, and Thomas Frank could be boosted by the returns of two key players from injury.<\/p>\n

Spurs’ pre-season concludes with the most daunting test yet, as European champions Paris Saint-Germain in Udine. The summer has already been full of highs and lows, with a 1-0 victory over Arsenal arriving in between a drab draw at Luton Town and an emphatic defeat to Bayern Munich<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The new manager has already been hindered by injury setbacks, with James Maddison’s ACL rupture one that could compromise Frank’s first season at the helm <\/a>if Spurs don’t add a playmaker or two to their ranks before the end of the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n

Spurs will face Luis Enrique’s Parisian juggernaut without the likes of Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, but it looks like Dominic Solanke and Destiny Udogie may be fit to play a part. <\/p>\n

The club have submitted their squad list for Wednesday’s clash, with the players set to fly to Udine on Tuesday. <\/p>\n

Solanke and Udogie will both be on the plane, but it remains to be seen whether either player will be fit enough to feature in our first competitive fixture of the 2025\/26. <\/p>\n

Solanke has missed much of pre-season due to an ankle injury, after appearing in the 2-0 victory over Reading to kick-off the summer. Frank said after the defeat in Munich that he hoped the striker would “quite soon be available”, with Richarlison’s performance reminding us all why Solanke is ever so important to this team. <\/p>\n

The Englishman may not have set the world alight in his first year at the club, but he plays a significant role in helping Tottenham get up the pitch via his capacity to hold the ball up and win the first ball. He’ll run until he drops, too. <\/p>\n

Udogie’s absence perhaps isn’t so significant, given Djed Spence’s ability to cover. However, the Italian was ever so impressive during the latter stages of our Europa League run last term, with his imposing physical profile, powerful up-and-down running and dominant defensive ability in one-on-one situations rendering him one of Europe’s most talented two-way left-backs when fit and firing. <\/p>\n

Whomever lines up at the Friuli on Wednesday will be tested not only by PSG’s interchanging front three, but Achraf Hakimi’s surges, too. <\/p>\n

In other squad news, Luka Vuskovic and Dane Scarlett have been left out of the travelling squad, with loan moves seemingly imminent. <\/p>\n
