It may not be long before one of American boxing\u2019s best-known fighters, Gervonta \u2018Tank\u2019 Davis, makes his return to the ring.<\/p>\n
Through his pay-per-view headline appearances from 2020 to 2025, fighting the likes of Leo Santa Cruz in his box office debut to breaking the 1 million sales barrier with Ryan Garcia, and then joining Prime Video alongside Premier Boxing Champions after Showtime Sports dissolved, \u2018Tank\u2019 generated almost 3 million combined sales and approximately $220 million. By the time of his draw with Lamont Roach Jr. in 2025, he was continuing his claim as one of the sport\u2019s faces.<\/p>\n
But since Roach added the blemish on Tank\u2019s record, Roach, Davis\u00a0has faced and arrest in 2026 on battery, false imprisonment, and attempted kidnapping charges tied to an alleged incident from October the prior year, a related civil lawsuit alleging assault, and a probation-violation warrant from a prior hit-and-run case, according to ESPN and other reports.<\/p>\n
His apparent issues away from the ring compromised his status inside of it, surrendering momentum as a face to his rivals, who are seemingly more scandal-free, like Shakur Stevenson, among others.<\/p>\n
But this summer he could make his comeback.<\/p>\n
