Microsoft Outlook users in Canada are reporting major outages<\/a> prohibiting them from logging into their accounts and sending emails.<\/p>\n Primary reports of people having trouble accessing the software first began around 5 a.m. ET on Monday, according to data provided by Downdetector.com.<\/p>\n However, nearly 300 people in Canada reported having issues with the professional software as of 7:15 p.m., according to the outage tracking website. <\/p>\n A higher than usual volume of user reports was concentrated in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal<\/a> over the past 24 hours.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have addressed an issue that affected sign-ins for some Outlook and Hotmail users on the default iOS mail app,\u201d a spokesperson for Microsoft told CTV News in an email. <\/p>\n Affected customers are advised to \u201ctake action\u201d and follow additional steps on their \u201cService Health Status\u201d page<\/a> and on the M365 Status Page on X.<\/p>\n We\u2019ve confirmed service health has returned to normal and reporting users that have completed the additional steps are able to access Outlook and Hotmail.
