Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Women\u2019s Bantamweight title challenger Mayra Bueno Silva dropped her fifth straight fight this past weekend (Sat., April 25, 2026), losing a unanimous decision to rising prospect and former teammate Michelle Montague on the UFC Vegas 116<\/a> prelims inside the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.<\/p>\n

It was a rough start for \u201cSheetara,\u201d who landed zero significant strikes in Round 1 while being controlled for more than four minutes. She bounced back in Round 2 with a strong showing, but Montague regained control in the final frame, sealing the decision win.<\/p>\n

The skid sparked immediate backlash online, with fans calling for Silva\u2019s release \u2014 something the Brazilian didn\u2019t take lightly.<\/p>\n

\u201cMan, I was here looking at the comments. You know, I don\u2019t usually look at them, but today I decided to check out the comments on people\u2019s posts about my fight about me as a fighter,\u201d Silva said on Instagram. \u201cIt\u2019s amazing to see that relevant people do not comment, right? They might even think something, but they don\u2019t comment. But then there\u2019s this bunch of losers who just sit behind a keyboard talking trash about other people\u2019s lives, about those who left home early to conquer the world, to try for a better life for themselves and their families. They have no idea.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just this bunch of losers talking crap about things they don\u2019t even know or understand,\u201d Silva continued. \u201cGo find something to do, you bunch of losers. Then I see all these people asking for me to be fired, wanting me to get fired. And let me tell you, if I do get fired, do you know what will happen if I end up working as an Uber driver? I\u2019ll be the best Uber driver in Brazil. Do you know why? Because I have determination. What do you have? Laziness. The courage to talk trash from behind a screen. That\u2019s why I\u2019ve made it in life. That\u2019s why I got to fight for the belt. And if I ever have to go back to where I came from, I\u2019ll go back with my head held high and I\u2019ll succeed again.\u201d<\/p>\n

That win initially led to a title shot against Raquel Pennington at UFC 297<\/a>, but Silva lost a one-sided decision<\/a> \u2014 and hasn\u2019t gotten back in the win column since.<\/p>\n
