Microsoft Outlook users started experiencing outages as early as 4 a.m. ET on Monday, April 27, according to the online tracker Downdetector<\/a>. While reports of disrupted service were still flowing to the tune of 1,350 as of 12:45 p.m. ET, peaks occurred at around 10 and 11:00 a.m., during which 1,480 and 1,516 users documented issues, respectively.<\/p>\n Microsoft confirmed<\/a> the outages in a statement on its X account around 6:20 a.m. ET, saying it was “investigating an issue where users may be experiencing intermittent issues accessing http:\/\/Outlook.com.”<\/p>\n In the last update issued<\/a> on the social media site at 9:37 a.m., Microsoft said it had “identified an unexpected increase in error rates affecting two separate error scenarios.”<\/p>\n “We suspect this may be contributing to creating impact, and we’re conducting additional analysis to confirm this,” the company added.<\/p>\n As of 12:45 p.m. ET, Microsoft’s status page noted<\/a> Outlook was continuing to be impacted by “service degradation.”<\/p>\n This story will be updated.<\/p>\n
