Mariner Independent, the Overland Park, Kan.-based registered investment advisor with an over $40 billion independent channel, has onboarded its largest team yet to the platform.<\/p>\n
Three advisors\u2014John Buckingham, Jason Clark and Christopher Quigley\u2014have launched Mosaic Value Partners, a $1.3 billion RIA based in Aliso Viejo, Calif., with Mariner Independent. The team began operations on April 24 with the support of three additional team members.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The trio of founders had been with Focus Financial Partners\u2019 Kovitz Investment Group Partners since 2018, according to BrokerCheck. Kovitz joined and took on the Focus Partners Wealth brand earlier this year<\/a>.<\/p>\n The advisors said in a statement that they are launching Mosaic Value to operate independently while also expanding client services with advanced planning, estate and tax strategies, and insurance solutions, among others.<\/p>\n \u201cWe serve our clients through a research-backed, value-oriented investment philosophy and have built strong, personal relationships along the way,\u201d Buckingham said in a statement. \u201cAs we considered our next phase of growth, it was important to find a partner that could support that foundation while giving us the resources to expand and evolve.\u201d<\/p>\n
