Bollywood actor Junaid Khan <\/a>made his acting debut with Maharaj and received praise for his performance. However, his first theatrical release failed to impress. Now, Junaid is set to feature in his father Aamir Khan\u2019<\/a>s production, Ek Din<\/a>. In a recent interview with Radio City India, Aamir described his son as a \u201clambi race ka ghoda\u201d, drawing a comparison with himself.<\/p>\n

Aamir spoke about not shielding Junaid during his acting journey, adding that he believes everyone should carve their own path. He said, \u201cJunaid aisa nahi hai, vo mujhe kabhi kuch karne nahi dega. He is a very independent guy, very strong-willed and doesn’t give up easily. Voh lambi race ka ghoda hai, jo mere baare mein bhi bola jaata tha jab main pehle pehle aaya tha (He\u2019s a long-distance runner, the same thing people used to say about me when I had just started out). Failures don’t faze him, and he’s very honest with himself.\u201d<\/p>\n

The superstar added that whenever Junaid approaches a role, he dives in with complete honesty and fully becomes the character. Citing his performance in Maharaj, Aamir said, \u201cHe has also followed his character in Ek Din with full honesty. Although it’s not a very heroic character, he has never tried to step out of it. That shows his honesty towards his work.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aamir also recalled a sweet memory from Junaid\u2019s childhood, revealing how he used to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and loved the action. Aamir then took him to the shoot of his film Ishq, where he hits Ajay Devgn and Juhi Chawla\u2019s car with a rod, sending it flying in the air. He shared that Junaid found the moment fascinating at the time.<\/p>\n

About Ek Din<\/p>\n

The romantic drama, directed by Sunil Pandey and produced by Mansoor Khan, Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit under Aamir Khan Productions, stars Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan in the lead roles. The film is a remake of the 2016 Thai film One Day and also features Kunal Kapoor, Kavin Dave and Pragati Mishra in key roles.<\/p>\n

The film marks Sai Pallavi\u2019s Bollywood debut. Recently, at an event titled Ek Din Ki Mehfil, Aamir praised her performance, stating that audiences would be blown away by her work and calling her the \u201cbest actress in our country\u201d. Ek Din is also Junaid\u2019s second theatrical release. His first, Loveyapa with Khushi Kapoor, underperformed at the box office, with many criticising their performances.
