{"id":636460,"date":"2026-04-29T13:21:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-29T13:21:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/636460\/"},"modified":"2026-04-29T13:21:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T13:21:09","slug":"burlington-home-invasion-under-investigation-by-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/636460\/","title":{"rendered":"Burlington home invasion under investigation by police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Halton police are investigating after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.haltonpolice.ca\/news-releases\/posts\/home-invasion-in-burlington-under-investigation\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.haltonpolice.ca\/news-releases\/posts\/home-invasion-in-burlington-under-investigation\/\">armed suspects forced their way inside a Burlington home<\/a> and confronted residents who had been sleeping inside over the weekend. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The incident took place at a residence in Burlington\u2019s Aldershot neighbourhood at around 2:40 a.m. on Sunday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police say that four suspects smashed a front window to gain entry, awaking the residents who had been asleep inside. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The residents, police say, went to investigate and were confronted by the suspects, who demanded valuables. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">One suspect pointed a gun at a resident while another suspect held a knife to a second resident, police say. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The residents subsequently handed over several pieces of jewelry and the suspects fled the home.
