Dave McMenamin<\/a>, James discussed his historic streak of making it to the NBA Finals in eight straight years between his time with the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers.<\/p>\n“I can’t,” James said when asked if can explain his iconic Finals run. “I was so engulfed in it. I never gave myself the chance to relax, even when I went to the Finals — whether I won or lost. When I won it, all I was thinking about was, ‘How can I repeat?’ When I lost, ‘How can I get back for redemption?’ That’s all I was thinking about. I don’t know how I was able to do it eight straight years.”<\/p>\n
James won three of his NBA titles during his eight-year streak, which included defeating the 73-9 Golden State Warriors in one of the greatest Finals series of all time in 2016. He added his fourth championship ring with the Lakers in 2020.<\/p>\n
The 41-year-old owns a handful of prestigious NBA records, and he feels his mark of eight straight NBA Finals appearances is one that won’t be broken anytime soon.<\/p>\n
