The Surrey Police Service says officers responded just before 7 p.m. to reports of shots fired into a vehicle in the 6800 block of 148 Street in the city\u2019s Newton area.<\/p>\n
One man with gunshot wounds was declared dead at the scene while another man was taken to hospital with minor injuries, police said.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for B.C. Emergency Health Services says four ambulances were dispatched to the scene, including one with advanced care paramedics.<\/p>\n
\u201cParamedics provided emergency medical treatment to one patient who was transported to hospital in stable condition,\u201d the agency said in an emailed statement.<\/p>\n
Investigators say no arrests have been made and there is no information on possible suspects.<\/p>\n
