BC Ferries is warning travellers that elevator service is down on one of its vessels that travels between Vancouver and Nanaimo on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The ferry operator says elevators are unavailable on the following four sailings between Tsawwassen and Duke Point on April 29:<\/p>\n

7:45 a.m. departing Duke Point<\/p>\n

10:15 a.m. departing Tsawwassen<\/p>\n

12:45 p.m. departing Duke Point<\/p>\n

3:15 p.m. departing Tsawwassen<\/p>\n

Passengers who want to access the lower vehicle deck and passenger decks during these sailings must use the stairs.<\/p>\n

Passengers who require elevator access will be given the option to travel on a different sailing, according to BC Ferries.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience you may experience as a result. Our team is working to fix the elevator(s) and will provide updates as soon as they become available,\u201d said BC Ferries in a notice shortly after 7 a.m.<\/p>\n

The latest updates on elevator service can be found on the BC Ferries website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The issue is affecting the 50-year-old Queen of Alberni vessel.<\/p>\n

The ferry has two elevators on board, and can carry a maximum of 1,200 passengers and crew, and 280 vehicles.<\/p>\n
