I love that guy! Brilliant!\u201d he added, noting his affection for Perry\u2019s ex Orlando Bloom.<\/p>\n Jokingly referring to Trudeau as \u201cFidel Castro\u2019s spawn,\u201d Brand hit out at his authoritarian leadership qualities while in office. \u201cI do not like that Trudeau,\u201d he declared. \u201cThere we draw the line!\u201d<\/p>\n Your Midday Sun<\/p>\n Thanks for signing up!<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n Advertisement 3<\/p>\n This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n Brand hated Trudeau\u2019s response to Freedom Convoy<\/p>\n Brand told Kelly that his main issue with Trudeau came from the fact that the past Liberal Leader targeted the Freedom Convoy in early 2022.<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t like it that he was having a go at them truckers,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n It wasn\u2019t the first time Brand had spoken out against Trudeau\u2019s handling of the protest, which saw truck drivers descending on Ottawa to demonstrate against Canada\u2019s COVID-19 vaccine mandates.<\/p>\n In a 14-minute YouTube video called \u201cTruckers Convoy: Why The Mainstream Media Blackout?!<\/a>\u201d published in 2022, Brand questioned how truckers who would not take the vaccine became \u201cloathed\u201d for not submitting \u201cto the wills of the powerful.\u201d<\/p>\n He also lashed out at Trudeau\u2019s criticism of Russian President Vladimir Putin\u2019s invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n \u201cYou can criticize Russia for many, many reasons, you can condemn the actions of Russia, quite rightly, for many reasons. What you can\u2019t do is claim to be an exemplar of democracy if whenever you get the opportunity to be tyrannical, you take it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Advertisement 4<\/p>\n This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n Speaking to Kelly, Brand chided Trudeau for his \u201cblackface\u201d controversy and called ex-politician \u201cultra woke.\u201d He went on to chide Trudeau for inviting \u201can actual Nazi\u201d to visit Canadian Parliament and blasted the onetime drama teacher for calling the marchers \u201cNazis.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThat was ridiculous,\u201d Kelly replied.<\/p>\n \u201cThey were just being sort of bold and brave,\u201d Brand said.<\/p>\n \u201cI specifically don\u2019t like what is typified by those good-looking politicians \u2014 Obama, Macron, Blair \u2014 they\u2019re sort of good-looking and they\u2019re charming,\u201d Brand went on to say. \u201cBut you think\u2026 who do you work for, really? Who\u2019s running this? Because it can\u2019t be you. I don\u2019t like that pose of compassion that\u2019s absolutely (guided by) selfishness.\u201d<\/p>\n Comic predicts Perry will \u2018come to her senses\u2019<\/p>\n As their chat continued, Brand asked if Perry was still going out with Trudeau. When Kelly replied that they are still an item, Brand quipped: \u201cKeep checking. Brand has pleaded not guilty after multiple women accused him of rape and sexual assault.<\/p>\n \u201cLook at the category I\u2019m in now. I\u2019m in with Trudeau,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019ll be a relief to be in a rape trial.\u201d<\/p>\n The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star also briefly touched on Ruby Rose\u2019s allegation that Perry assaulted her 2010.<\/p>\n In a viral Threads post<\/a> earlier this month, Rose claimed that Perry, now 41, \u201csaw me \u2018resting\u2019 on my best friend\u2019s lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her.\u201d<\/p>\n A representative for Perry has shot down the Australian model and actress\u2019 accusations saying: \u201cThe allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI read about that,\u201d Brand said. \u201cThis is probably the old-school man in me.
