Manchester United can now sign a footballer who is in the elite-tier bracket \u2013 dare we say, the best since the great Cristiano Ronaldo came back to the club. <\/p>\n

The Red Devils, all things considered, after what was an abysmal 24\/25 campaign, are in dreamland when it comes to transfers this summer.<\/p>\n

Ruben Amorim has spent a pretty penny, but has invested wisely thus far. A new attacking trio of Matheus Cunha<\/a>, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko<\/a> is the current haul from the Portuguese manager. <\/p>\n

Now, after acquiring Sesko, United want a defensive midfielder and a goalkeeper. And the shot-stopper spot should be extremely obvious. <\/p>\n

Manchester United need to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma <\/p>\n

After the latest Gianluigi Donnarumma transfer news<\/a>, it\u2019s an absolute no-brainer that the Red Devils must try and obtain his signature.<\/p>\n

Donnarumma has been exiled by PSG<\/a>, left out of their Super Cup squad to face Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> on Wednesday, with the Parisians putting their faith in new signing Lucas Chevalier instead.<\/p>\n

The relationship is completely broken after club decide to exclude Gigio from their squad for Super Cup.<\/p>\n

For that reason, Donnarumma needs a new club<\/a>, and among those interested are Manchester United. They\u2019ll face competition from Manchester City and Chelsea, granted, but Sir Jim Ratcliffe needs to go all out for the Italian.<\/p>\n

The goalkeeper slot has been a problem child around Old Trafford for some time now, with Andre Onana not doing the business<\/a> around Carrington after his Inter Milan arrival in 2023.<\/p>\n

Donnarumma<\/a> would almost guarantee that this problem becomes fixed. A Ballon d\u2019Or nominee, the 26 (yes, just 26!) year-old is an absolute behemoth of a goalkeeper and would be an insane coup.<\/p>\n

Donnarumma would be biggest signing since Cristiano Ronaldo <\/p>\n

If United were to sign Donnarumma, he\u2019d be the biggest signing in terms of a name the Red Devils have made since Cristiano Ronaldo<\/a> came back to the club under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.<\/p>\n

Granted, United\u2019s most recent \u2018blockbuster signings\u2019 never seemed to work out. But it\u2019s hard to see this one not doing so.<\/p>\n

The towering keeper would fit like a glove, no pun intended, at Old Trafford \u2013 and should 100% be the next purchase this summer.<\/p>\n

How hard it would be to traverse a deal remains to be seen\u2026 but surely United have to go for it?<\/p>\n
