The victim of a serious hit-and-run crash is still recovering in hospital after waking up from an induced coma, and police are searching for the driver who hit him in Brampton.<\/p>\n
\u201cHis recovery could take years and we don\u2019t know what that will look like,\u201d says the family of Dylan Moss, who was hit by multiple vehicles while walking to his job as a welder in Brampton on April 13.<\/p>\n
The 28-year-old was crossing the intersection of Bovaird Drive and McLaughlin Road around 5 a.m. when he was struck by a Toyota RAV4 travelling northbound on McLaughlin<\/a> making a right-hand turn onto Bovaird, Peel Regional Police say.<\/p>\n But police say the victim was also hit by two other passing vehicles, and that the driver of the RAV4 \u201cstopped briefly\u201d before fleeing the scene.<\/p>\n Moss was rushed to hospital where family members say he spent a week in an induced coma with a breathing tube, and had to undergo \u201cbrain surgery, two pelvic reconstructive surgeries, and a host of invasive procedures.\u201d<\/p>\n His condition has since been upgraded and Moss is breathing on his own, but the family says every day brings complications and unknowns, and that his recovery \u201ccould take years and we don\u2019t know what that will look like.\u201d<\/p>\n
