Officially set to debut on August 18, the five-member group has been warming up the stage for months.<\/p>\n<p>     <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/CORTIS_1754899157386_1754899192116.png\" alt=\"CORTIS\" title=\"CORTIS\"\/>   CORTIS    <\/p>\n<p>Their first big step? The release of their music video for GO!, a track that sits firmly in the realm of new-generation Korean music. Think Travis Scott meets electronic K-pop \u2014 the kind of sound engineered to thrive on TikTok or Instagram Reels. For the Korean music landscape that has often skirted this style, CORTIS feels like a deliberate attempt to fill that niche.<\/p>\n<p>       Netizens react<\/p>\n<p>The MV \u2014 released today on August 11 \u2014 has the playful energy of small-scale creators shooting from a single POV. Some fans were instantly struck by the group\u2019s youthful looks, with one remarking, \u201cThey look so young.\u201d Others embraced the unserious debut with optimism, declaring, \u201cCortis is vibe,\u201d while a TXT stan cheekily pointed out, \u201cTXT finally being the middle child.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Still, a section of the audience was far less impressed. One viewer dismissed it with, \u201cThey\u2019re giving anyone a record deal nowadays,\u201d while another bluntly called it, \u201ca mess. visually and musically.\u201d Even harsher? \u201cBasic music ngl,\u201d and, \u201cthe way I was excited to check this out but I got a headache halfway through the song.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CORTIS \u2014 comprising Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho \u2014 marks BIGHIT MUSIC\u2019s first new group since TXT\u2019s debut six years ago. Their official title track, What You Want, will arrive on August 18 at 6 p.m. KST, followed by an English version featuring American rapper Teezo Touchdown on August 22.
