Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were in perfect style sync during a rare public outing on Thursday, days ahead of the 2026 Met Gala<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The twin fashion moguls were snapped in Manhattan enjoying lunch with a friend, dressed in straight-leg jeans, dark coats and minimalist mules.<\/p>\n

The sisters, 39, accessorized with their signature scarves, sunglasses and matching handbags from their luxury label, The Row \u2014\u00a0Mary-Kate\u2019s a rare $33,000 Lady Bag<\/a> in alligator, Ashley\u2019s a larger bowling bag style in soft croc.<\/p>\n

The duo flashed big smiles as they strolled through the city and greeted their friend with a hug outside a sidewalk caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n

It is unclear if they\u2019ll be attending the 2026 Met Gala on May 4. The theme this year is\u00a0\u201cCostume Art,\u201d which is set to examine \u201cthe centrality of the dressed body.\u201d<\/p>\n

They last attended the Met Gala seven years ago, back in 2019, when the theme was \u201cCamp: Notes on Fashion.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

The former child stars have lived a much quieter life after retreating from the spotlight and forming their successful luxury fashion brand,<\/a> The Row.<\/p>\n

Their last public outing was in November 2025, when they attended the 2025 CDFA Fashion Awards together<\/a> in matching black coats and extravagant vintage Cartier jewelry worth more than $400,000 combined.<\/p>\n

They skipped the red carpet but snuck into the ceremony held at the American Museum of Natural History, where they were honored with the American Accessory Designer of the Year award.<\/p>\n

The two are extremely private about their personal lives.<\/p>\n

Ashley and her husband, artist and painter Louis Eisner, secretly welcomed their son, Otto,<\/a> in 2023.<\/p>\n

As for Mary-Kate, she\u2019s kept a low-key profile since settling her divorce from Olivier Sarkozy<\/a> in January 2021 after five years of marriage.<\/p>\n

Though, she did spark dating rumors with retired hockey player Sean Avery,<\/a> after the two were spotted together in the Hamptons over Memorial Day weekend in 2024.<\/p>\n

The twins\u2019 pivot to fashion is no doubt the lucrative choice compared to their television acting days \u2014 their \u201cFull House\u201d co-star Jodie Sweetin disclosed that she recently received a residual check for only $.01<\/a> for her eight-season stint as Stephanie Tanner on the iconic sitcom.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got a one-cent check the other day,\u201d Sweetin said during her appearance on the \u201cMcBride Rewind\u201d podcast on April 21. <\/p>\n

She explained, \u201cThere\u2019s no syndication anymore because it\u2019s all in streaming. Who gets paid for that?
