{"id":641249,"date":"2026-05-01T17:49:13","date_gmt":"2026-05-01T17:49:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/641249\/"},"modified":"2026-05-01T17:49:13","modified_gmt":"2026-05-01T17:49:13","slug":"youth-charged-in-connection-with-death-of-another-youth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/641249\/","title":{"rendered":"Youth charged in connection with death of another youth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/screenshot-2026-01-13-at-11-06-37-opp-central-region-opp-cr-x.png\" class=\"header-image\" alt=\"Youth charged in connection with death of another youth\"\/>\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">A youth has been charged in relation to the death of another youth.<\/p>\n<p>On March 9, 2026, Lennox and Addington OPP responded to a local school for a medical emergency.<\/p>\n<p>One youth was transported to hospital and later died.<\/p>\n<p>The ongoing investigation is being led by the OPP L&amp;A County Crime Unit, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the process, police have worked cooperatively with school officials.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, a youth has been charged with the following offences:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Criminal harassment<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Indignity to a dead body<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Indecent communication \u2013 two counts<\/p>\n<p>The identities of all individuals involved are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
