She later returned for the Netflix revival Fuller House from 2016 to 2020.<\/p>\n \u201cI got a one-cent check the other day,\u201d she said. \u201cThere\u2019s no syndication anymore because it\u2019s all in streaming. Who gets paid for that? Nobody gets paid for that.\u201d<\/p>\n Back in her 20s, there was still some money coming in from reruns \u2014 but it was never steady, per Page Six<\/a>. Payments depended on how often the show aired, and there was no way to predict it.<\/p>\n \u201cSure, in my 20s, there would be money, but not reliable,\u201d she said. \u201cYou don\u2019t know how much it\u2019s going to be or how often they\u2019re going to run the show.\u201d<\/p>\n Unpredictability has only gotten worse as industry shifted<\/p>\n In the past, actors could count on solid payouts from cable reruns, syndication deals and DVD sales, reports E! News<\/a>. Sometimes the payments are a nice surprise \u2014 and sometimes they barely cover a meal.<\/p>\n \u201cSometimes you\u2019re like, \u2018Oh, cool. That was nice.\u2019 And then sometimes you\u2019re like, \u2018All right, well, there\u2019s a nice dinner out.’\u201d<\/p>\n \u2018I will never say never to anything\u2019<\/p>\n Despite the dwindling paychecks, she hasn\u2019t ruled out revisiting the role that made her famous. While some actors try to distance themselves from their breakout characters, Sweetin says she\u2019d happily return \u2014 even if it\u2019s decades down the line.<\/p>\n \u201cI will never say never to anything,\u201d she said, according to People.<\/p>\n She joked that a future reboot might feature an aging cast needing care from the next generation, adding she\u2019d still be on board if it meant working with her longtime co-stars again.<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, we always joke that it\u2019ll be, you know, Fuller Fullest House and we\u2019ll just be ancient and the kids will be wiping our asses,\u201d Sweetin said with a laugh.<\/p>\n Contrast with another sitcom is striking<\/p>\n The cast of Friends, meanwhile, continues to earn massive residuals more than 20 years after the show ended. After the 2023 death of co-star Matthew Perry<\/a> at age 54, she rewatched the show and saw it in a new light.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter Matthew died, I watched the show again,\u201d she said. \u201cBefore, I only saw what I did wrong or could have done better.
