MagicCon Las Vegas is the biggest Magic event of the year, and what better way to celebrate that then to show off a bunch of new stuff coming up later this year. Sorry for those of you who want to relish Secrets of Strixhaven a little bit longer, but the sets aren’t stopping any time soon.<\/p>\n

Here’s everything we saw at the Friday Preview Panel from Marvel Super Heroes, The Hobbit, and Reality Fracture.<\/p>\n

Marvel Super Heroes (June 2026)<\/p>\n

\"Marvel<\/p>\n

Marvel Super Heroes is the next set in line, and has a significantly larger scope than anything we’ve seen from MTG’s Marvel crossovers yet. <\/p>\n

The Hobbit (August 2026)<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

The Hobbit marks our return to Middle-Earth after the wildly successful Lord of the Rings set. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Adventure’s back, baby! We’ve also got confirmation of some dwarves and dwarf payoffs.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Trolls, too. Not the internet kind, either, more like the eat your friends kind. Tom, Bert, and William<\/a> give us a legendary Golgari troll creature.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

It’s not quite The One Ring<\/a>, but My Precious<\/a> is also not not The One Ring. It’s showing off a \u201cDragon Horde\u201d frame as well on the alternate art.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Love a good divvy card. Riddles in the Dark<\/a> is giving some great Fact or Fiction<\/a> vibes.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Wood Elves<\/a> makes a return in Standard. Makes total sense for the context of the set.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Bilbo’s back (obviously), and will appear across multiple rarities. Bilbo, Luckwearer<\/a> is the uncommon version.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Speaking of which, here’s the mythic Bilbo! Big lol at \u201cThief in the Night\u201d here.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Magnificent indeed! Smaug makes his debut on a real Magic card (not a token) as Smaug the Magnificent<\/a>. And he’s appropriately Treasure-focused. Smaug will show up across multiple rarities as well. Check out that gold Headliner version, too!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

No way The Arkenstone<\/a> wasn’t going to get a big flashy mythic in this set. It’s another half-adventure, half-artifact, and comes with a \u201cBook Cover\u201d alternate treatment.<\/p>\n

Reality Fracture (October 2026)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Reality Fracture is the final in-Universe set of the year. It’s pretty grandiose in scope, featuring twists on classic characters and cards from Magic’s history.<\/p>\n

So what’s it gonna be? Which of these sets are skips for you so far, and which ones are you actively excited about. How about Star Trek to cap off the year?<\/p>\n
